Sunbeam Appliances

Recently, my loving partner, inspired by a couple of friends in possession of food dehydrators decided to purchase one herself - not any ordinary run of the mill el-cheapo model either. A top of the line Sunbeam DT600 Food Lab
dehydrator, this son of a bitch cost $200AU, for reference, that's more than I spend on clothing, hygiene products and brake pads in a year.
The product, although not entirely living up to it's price tag certainly did the job, it removed the water from all nature of goods - fruit, vegetables and meat!
Assumed to be safe for any product specifically designed to house raw animal flesh for up to 48 hours at a time, the shelving trays included with the appliance were placed in a dishwasher in a valiant effort to thwart cross contaminating bacteria (no mention of whether this okay on the packaging or instruction booklet).
Well, turns out, they're not designed to do that, who would have thunk it?

After hearing that my partners attempts to obtain some replacement shelving trays was less than successful, I decided to see if I could get a better result, not to my partner's detriment, I'm simply better at being a Fucknuckle than others.

CEO of Sunbeam Australia receives a rather pleasant email.

What kind of response would be a generous pass of the olive branch - not this one, that's for sure.

Sure thing bro, I would love to purchase more shit because your product fails to state that it is not designed to be cleaned thoroughly.

Objecting to the absurd treatment of valued customers, I replied with an alternative.

Sadly, no reply.

So, I tried the CEO of Sunbeam Australia once more, this time receiving a reply from Brendan Kelly - Apparently he's kind of a big deal and doesn't report to anyone. "just don't question his masculinity though"

Nice try Brendan :)

As Brendan clearly asserted himself as the top dog of Sunbeam and was refusing to give me the time of day to voice my concerns - I thought all hope was lost *sad face* but as with most things in this confusing capitalist society, Sunbeam is actually a subsidiary of Sunbeam Products an organisation owned by several other conglomerates, managed by publicly trading companies all of which in turn are controlled by a private financial group. Next stop, The United States of America.

Let's hope this goes down a little better than it did with the savages of Australia.

Well, that was actually helpful, we can all learn a lesson from Richard.

I wonder if Richard supports Brendan's unique approach to customer service? Maybe a screenshot of Brendan's emails will help Richard understand the situation a little better. Let's find out!
Also: at this point, I have now been blocked from emailing any address on the Sunbeam Australia server.

Kangaroo Jerky - Get some.

So Richard, are you impressed by Sunbeam's self appointed Head Honcho ~

I guess not :(

Looks like I got everything I wanted - with probably a little more effort than should have been required for a couple pieces of plastic.... but hey - am I too blame?

My replacement trays came promptly, thanks to an investment group that no one has ever heard of. But what ever happened to Brendan?

Seriously, if I got replacement trays, then WTF happened to Brendan?

Seriously, if I got replacement trays, then WTF happened to Brendan?

Well, looks like Brendan has been given some special new duties to go along with his almighty position of customer service MANAGER. Enjoy licking stamps in the mail room champion.
