Canned Pineapple¿

Which canned option provides better value?

It’s always important to follow a strict scientific approach when pondering the ponderance of produce. Below is a list I have copied from the first result of Googling correct scientific procedure.

  • Define purpose.
To determine which canned pineapple product constitutes better value, chunky boys or ringy-dings.

  • Construct hypothesis.
Whilst the diameter of ringy-dings are generally quite well proportioned to the can in which they come plus they are mostly sandwiched in a compact fashion, they are presented with a void of nothingness in the centre. Chunky boys on the other hand do not have a valueless centre however the non tessellating shape and mass canning process doesn’t really lead to efficiency. I’m also questioning whether the additional slicing of the chunky boys has compromised cellular structures creating greater total mass with most being lost to juice.

  • Test the hypothesis and collect data.
Firstly, check the shit below. Secondly, thats all I’m doing in this pursuit, I don’t think it needs much more.

  • Analyze data.
It’s a minimal sample size, there may be manufacturing variances but a total of 13.1086% more pineapple in ring form over the chunks suggests that their compaction and uniformity is hard to beat in the game of canning efficiency.

  • Draw conclusion.
Only a mentally deficient potato would purchase the chunks, not really on account of the price per gram comparison but more so the fact that if you have a can of ringy-dings in the cupboard ~ you can always cut them further into chunks whereas the chunks are incapable of being reassembled into ringy-dings.
Note; if you think chunks are better value because you get to drink more juice “like I thought” turns out you can literally buy a can from the same manufacturer of straight up pineapple liquid here.

  • Communicate results.

  • Final Thoughts:
What the fuck am I doing with my life?
